Pope Francis’ Disturbing Cuban Manipulation

On Wednesday, President Barack Obama announced that the United States would be changing its policy toward Cuba, opening a Havana embassy and expanding travel. “Through these changes, we intend to create more opportunities for the American and Cuban people and begin a new chapter among the nations of the Americas,” President Obama explained.

The president negotiated the deal between the United States and Cuba over the course of 18 months. Pope Francis apparently initiated the negotiations himself. The Vatican released the following statement:

The Holy Father wishes to express his warm congratulations for the historic decision taken by the governments of the United States of America and Cuba to establish diplomatic relations, with the aim of overcoming, in the interest of the citizens of both countries, the difficulties which have marked their recent history.

Raul Castro thanked Pope Francis personally for the deal.

Pope Francis’ casual embrace of a communist regime contrasts sharply with the approach of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict. Pope John Paul II’s visit to Poland in 1979 famously helped launch the solidarity movement that led to the collapse of communism in the nation.

When Pope John Paul II visited Cuba in 1998, he blasted the Castro regime by routinely using the language of freedom, and implicitly criticizing the Castros:

The Church in Cuba has always proclaimed Jesus Christ, even if at times she has had a scarcity of priests and has had to do so in difficult circumstances. I wish to express my admiration for so many of the Cuban faithful for their fidelity to Christ, to the Church and to the Pope, as also for the respect they have shown for the more genuine religious traditions learned from their elders, and for the courage and persevering spirit of commitment demonstrated in the midst of their sufferings and ardent hopes.

Pope Francis, then an assistant archbishop, apparently wrote a book about the visit, which he joined. The tract, titled Dialogues Between John Paul II and Fidel Castro, slammed “the spirit that has driven capitalism – using capital to oppress and subject people.”

(NaturalNews) Persistent drought conditions that simply won’t relent, according to new reports, have sparked something of a water war in Brazil, which oddly enough has more water resources than any other country in the world.

The two largest cities in the South American powerhouse, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, are currently fighting over rights to a water source that sits between them. Rio de Janeiro has long relied on the Jaguari reservoir to supply its own citizens, but now Sao Paulo wants in on the action.

Sao Paulo is apparently running out of water due to poor planning and mismanagement, but the Jaguari reservoir is currently at its lowest level ever, which is why Rio wants to protect it. Officials from the two cities recently met in Brasilia for a mediation session meant to solve the crisis.

But a solution has yet to be reached, as Sao Paulo’s tapping into the Jaguari would threaten to create water shortages in Rio, leaving both cities at a loss. Rio is currently surviving the ongoing drought, but this could change if Sao Paulo gains access to its main water source.

“It’s unusual in that it’s two very large cities facing what could be a new, permanent conflict over the allocation of water,” stated Peter Gleick, president of the Pacific Institute in Oakland, California, to Bloomberg about the crisis.

“It’s a wake-up call that even places we think of as water-rich have to learn to do a better job of managing what’s ultimately a scarce resource. Nature doesn’t always cooperate with us.”

Across crisis-stricken Europe ‘ghost’ airports have freshly painted tarmac, shiny new doors and all the nuts and bolts in place – but no passengers and no airplanes, giving them an eerie aura.

Soaring costs have delayed the ribbon cutting ceremonies, as Europe’s worst recession in 100 years has killed the projects.

The European Commission dispensed millions of euro in funding to boost the infrastructure at regional airports, but they are waiting for travelers and planes that never came, and have become symbols of reckless spending.

“The difficulty you have with the European Union is that ultimately it has all this money that it wants to divest in patronage through grants and all sorts of different sinecures, throughout the land of the 28 nations, and it wants to try and make an economic impact,” Patrick Young, a financial expert, told RT.

People in Brussels “believe money grows on trees, that is the fundamental problem that is pushing the EU towards breaking point,” Young said.

Poland, which joined the EU in 2004, and has been lauded by the Commission for its economic reforms and financial responsibility, received over $125 million (€100 million) to help build and upgrade 12 airports.

Lublin and Rzeszow are in the forested and hilly east part of the country and haven’t yet opened. Lodz airport was given a facelift, but has failed to attract passengers as it’s located just a 50 minute drive away from Warsaw, the country’s largest airport Lodz opened in 2012.

Poland received €615.7 million from the EU to support these financial black holes between 2007 and 2013, according to figures provided by the European Commission to Reuters.

The airports failed to attract budget airlines to operate flights in between the small cities and bigger hubs.

Sydney Siege: Hostages Held in Central Cafe

Sydney Siege: Hostages Held in Central Cafe

A screenshot from live feed by Channel 7

Several people have been taken hostage by at least one armed man at a Lindt cafe in the centre of Sydney.

Hundreds of armed police have sealed off the normally busy Martin Place in Sydney’s central business district.

At least three people have been seen inside the cafe with their hands up against a window, and holding up a black flag with Arabic writing.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has described the incident as “deeply concerning”.

He said it was not yet clear who was behind the incident but that it could be politically motivated.

Streets have been closed around the building and people moved out of the area

In a news conference, he said the National Security Committee had been briefed, and urged Australians to go about their lives but to be alert.

“I can think of almost nothing more distressing, more terrifying than to be caught up in such a situation, and our hearts go out to these people,” he said.

New South Wales Police said in a statement that an “armed incident” was under way, and that “specialist officers are attempting to make contact with those inside a cafe”.

The police said nearby offices had been evacuated as a precaution and asked people to remain indoors and away from open windows.

Martin Place is a public pedestrian thoroughfare through the heart of Sydney, joining its parliamentary, legal and retail districts.

It is full of media, members of the public and the police, with what appear to be anxious colleagues of people trapped inside the building waiting for news. Several surrounding blocks are cordoned off.

The NSW police commissioner, Andrew Scipione, and the premier, Mike Baird, speak

Andrew Scipione says there is an undisclosed number of hostages involved in the siege and one offender.

We want the matter resolved peacefully and we will do all we need to do to ensure that. What we also have is a number of incidents that people believe they be connected to the event and that is not the case.We have a lot of people concerned when they see a police vehicle drive down their street to think that their suburb or shire might be involved. That is not the case. We are very contained. We certainly have tight restrictions and tight controls around that location and we will work as long as we need to bring this to an outcome. The officers there are trained and professional. They know what they’re doing and they have trained for. I am sure they will get through this and this will be an outcome that will be positive.

He does not confirm or deny that radio presenter Ray Hadley has spoken to a hostage. He says police negotiations have been undertaken with the hostages and police have not had direct contact with the offender. There were terror raids this morning in Sydney and Scipione says at this stage there is “no connection” between the raids and the siege.

CIA will continue torture with help of mediators – UK's former envoy to Uzbekistan

In 2002 Murray was appointed British ambassador to Uzbekistan at the age of 43 but dismissed in October 2004. In July 2004 he told The Guardian that “there is no point in having cocktail-party relationships with a fascist regime” Image credit: Flickr user: Vodex.Breadandcheese

Craig Murray, British ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2002-2004, was fired when he revealed CIA rendition practices in Poland and Uzbekistan to UK leaders – and was branded a liar. The US torture report will hardly change the picture, he told RT.

RT: In 2004, you were fired as British ambassador to Uzbekistan after openly criticizing the UK and the US for accepting Uzbek intelligence obtained through torture. How does this new report make you feel?

Craig Murray: It is nice at last finally to have some official acceptance from the United States. But what was happening was happening. In fact, the rendition flights which went to that secret base in Poland, at Szymany, almost every single one of those flights went on and landed in Tashkent in Uzbekistan. And a number of people, whenever they finished within Szymany, were taken on to Uzbekistan. In Uzbekistan, I believe they were murdered because they have never been seen again. So it is nice to have an official admission that things happened. We still have no such admission from the United Kingdom. The UK government is still today denying its complicity with it, unlike the Polish government.

RT: Back then, it was Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and PM Tony Blair basically saying that you were inventing this stuff?

CM: They called me a liar directly. They said in parliament that I was a liar. They said there is no such thing as an extraordinary rendition program – it was a figment of my imagination, I’d invented it all, and they sacked me. I would say that today Jack Straw has been allied to deny on news programs all over the UK that it happened. They are still lying about it.

RT: Could it have been that they didn’t know?

CM: Not at all. The evidence was absolutely overwhelming. I personally sent reports of what was happening in Uzbekistan to Jack Straw, saying the CIA were getting intelligence. He definitely knew that. That was why he sacked me. There was no way they didn’t know. But the cover-ups continued. Today this is the only television interview I’m doing. Jack Straw has been allied today on all the media to say he knew nothing about it. And not the BBC, not one single UK media outlet, will allow me to say that I told them about that and I was sacked.

Crowds have gathered in Dublin to take part in today’s protest against water charges, as gardaí say “in excess of 30,000” congregated in the area around Merrion Square.

That figure, however, was hotly contested by organisers who quoted figures in excess of 100,000.

Gardaí reported just two arrests for public order offences.

While the majority of protesters gathered peacefully at Merrion Square – where speeches and entertainment took place throughout the afternoon – a smaller group gathered at nearby Government buildings.

A public order unit of the gardaí was sent to Kildare Street after an attempt by some to breach the barrier there, which is blocking access to the front gate of Leinster House.

It’s believed objects were thrown at some gardaí by at least one person in the crowd. RTÉ news reported that a garda was taken to hospital with facial injuries.

Gardaí in full riot gear gathered near the seat of Government following the incident, equipped with riot shields and helmets. Gardaí were also seen filming the crowd in the area.

Back at the Merrion Square stage, Irish singer-songwriters Glen Hansard and Damien Dempsey were among the performers present, and gave the crowd a rendition of ‘The Auld Triangle’.

““I think there’s something happening in the world, and I feel this is our version of it,” Hansard said.

“The water charge is the straw that’s breaking our backs – people are essentially very dissatisfied with how we are being governed.”

He added: “I’m not political, but the Irish nation has now been forced to be (political) and to come out on the streets.

“We’ve gone through a lot as a nation.

“It feels like there is more and more screws being put on the people, to pay taxes for this, that and the other.

“A lot of money that went out of the country in different directions and it is not up to the people to pay it back.

“I think there is a general sense of anger, a seething dissatisfaction and I’m just like anyone else.”

Earlier, a spokesperson from the UNITE trade union took to the stage and told the crowd that there were between 60,000 and 80,000 people in the area, despite the lower official estimate. That later swelled to a possible 100,000.

The large numbers created bottlenecks and prevented movement along some streets, as the protest sprawled along the city centre.

O’Connell bridge is also impassable to traffic as protesters have stayed in the area.

Motorists are advised to take precautions, as the protest marches converge on Merrion Square from multiple directions. Dublin Bus advised of delays on all city centre routes this evening until the protests clear.

The Dáil proceeded with business as planned.

There were scuffles later in the evening around O’Connell Bridge as gardaí ordered protesters off the road.

Greg Morse, one of the earliest whistleblowers of the S&L frauds of the 1980’s, makes the case that the mortgage derivatives that crashed in 2008 were the biggest tax evasion in history and the biggest securities fraud in history.

He also alleges the money was passed through Swiss banks to fund black ops, overthrow governments and other criminal activity. It’s reminiscent to Iran-Contra except the funding for their illegal activity isn’t coming from selling weapons to Iran or crack cocaine to Americans but from gambling with the mortgages of Americans, destroying the chain of title and collapsing the wealth of Americans.

Greg also lays out a plan of action to expose and investigate their criminal actions.

Highlights in this David Knight Video Interview with Greg Morse

  • The largest income tax evasion fraud in recorded history.
  • The largest securities fraud in recorded history.
  • This story connects three (3) whistle blowers. Brad Birkenfeld, Greg Morse and Scott Bennett.
  • Audit the Fed? How about starting by auditing your own mortgage? (Check your mortgage now)
  • Over 1000 documented and legally sited events of either fraud, or statute and code violations of law on Greg Morse’s mortgage alone.
  • The complete disillusion of our property records, and the fraud inherent in that.
  • MERS, created in 1995, by the banks, to serve the banks. In 1999 DTCC was created, completely changing how title is passed.
  • In 2011 DTCC settled the vast majority of securities transactions in the US and close to 1.7 QUADRILLION in value WORLD WIDE.

Denver Billionaire Spurned by Buffett Seeks Global Wi-Fi Network

Denver Billionaire Spurned by Buffett Seeks Global Wi-Fi Network

By Brendan Coffey | Bloomberg News

Denver billionaire spurned by Buffett seeks global Wi-Fi network

James “Jay” Monroe III isn’t in a rush. Dressed in blue jeans and a monogrammed white dress shirt, the investor sips ice water and pauses to greet Dakota, his Great Dane-blue heeler mix who bounds through the Union Pacific Freighthouse in downtown Denver.

Monroe bought the building when it was derelict in the 1990s and let his kids throw rocks at the windows. Today, it’s his headquarters, overlooking Coors Field and several properties he has developed in the city’s revived Lower Downtown district.

“Nothing happens fast. There’s a myth about that,” Monroe said. “Our investment philosophy is always pretty much the same: If you know you’re right and you just have to manage the problem, then make the investment.”

Taking the patient approach has allowed the 59-year-old to turn his closely held Thermo Cos. into a real estate, telecommunications and financial conglomerate. Starting in 1984 with $40,000 — the money he and his wife made from selling their home — Monroe sold diesel engines and developed power plants and fiber-optic networks.

He later became majority owner of Globalstar Inc., a satellite company he bought in bankruptcy in 2003 and wants to use to sell voice and data services to the 2 billion people who live or work in the 75 percent of the world without cellular or landline access.

It has also made him a billionaire. He has a net worth of at least $3.2 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and has never appeared on an international wealth ranking. Monroe, who tried and failed to get Warren Buffett to invest in Globalstar six years ago, said his adult children will be surprised to learn he has amassed such a fortune.

Globalstar, Fiberlight

“I wish I was telling you this in a bar, instead of for a story. My kids don’t really know this stuff,” he said, referring to his wealth. “They’re both very accomplished at what they do. One is a terrific oil painter; the other, all he wanted to do is be a school teacher.”

Monroe owns more than 653 million shares of Globalstar, or about 70 percent of the company, according to regulatory filings. He said he held about $500 million in TW Telecom Inc. stock, before it was acquired by Level 3 Communications in October, and owns about $400 million in shares of Kinder Morgan Management LLC, the latter of which he received selling energy assets in 2008. His stake in fiber-optics provider Fiberlight LLC is valued at $750 million, the billionaire said.

Globalstar has the potential to become Monroe’s best investment or his biggest headache. The stock rallied to $4.46 in mid-July from 59 cents a year ago, pushing Monroe’s net worth to more than $5 billion. A report this month from a hedge fund encouraging investors to bet against the company drove the shares down to $1.71. The company was down 4.1 percent to $2.10 at 10:01 a.m. today in New York.

‘Truly Unbelievable’

At issue is Monroe’s plan to covert Globalstar’s voice spectrum into terrestrial Wi-Fi services. When spectrum was divvied up in the 1990s, the band Globalstar was assigned for satellite voice services — channel 14 of the 2.4 gigahertz band — was also included in the unregulated spectrum in which Wi-Fi has evolved. Every Wi-Fi enabled device already has the ability to use Globalstar’s channel 14.

“It can become something truly unbelievable,” said Monroe, who envisions demand from urban consumers who never want to be unconnected as they travel and from people in areas with no broadband or mobile phone coverage who want improved data and voice access.

Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi announced Saturday that three top former officials of the Vatican Bank are being charged with embezzlement and that their bank assets totaling 16 million euros have been seized.

Former Vatican Bank President Angelo Caloia, its former Director General Lelio Scaletti, and bank lawyer Gabriele Liuzzo are being charged in relation to the embezzlement of funds from the sale of 29 buildings to mainly Italian buyers between 2001 and 2008.

“The problem was presented to authorities of the Vatican court after an internal audit was conducted last year,” Father Lombardi said. “The accounts of the interested parties at the bank were seized as a precautionary measure a few weeks ago.”

A separate statement on Saturday from the Vatican bank says that “some months ago the Vatican Bank denounced two former directors and a lawyer, an action that underscores the bank’s commitment to transparency and zero tolerance.” The current director of the bank, papal appointee Jean-Baptiste de Franssu, said that he is “pleased that the Vatican authorities are acting with resolve.”

The Red Cross CEO Has Been Serially Misleading About Where Donors’ Dollars Are Going

The Red Cross CEO Has Been Serially Misleading About Where Donors’ Dollars Are Going

The Red Cross CEO Has Been Serially Misleading About Where Donors’ Dollars Are Going

By Jesse Eisinger and Justin Elliott | ProPublica, and Laura Sullivan | NPR
This story was co-produced with NPR.

The American Red Cross regularly touts how responsible it is with donors’ money. “We’re very proud of the fact that 91 cents of every dollar that’s donated goes to our services,” Red Cross CEO Gail McGovern said in a speech in Baltimore last year. “That’s world class, obviously.”

McGovern has often repeated that figure, which has also appeared on the charity’s website. “I’m really proud” that overhead expenses are so low, she told a Cleveland audience in June.

Red Cross CEO Has Been Serially MisleadingThe problem with that number: It isn’t true.

After inquiries by ProPublica and NPR, the Red Cross removed the statement from its website. The Red Cross said the claim was not “as clear as it could have been, and we are clarifying the language.”

The Red Cross declined repeated requests to say the actual percentage of donor dollars going to humanitarian services.

But the charity’s own financial statements show that overhead expenses are significantly more than what McGovern and other Red Cross officials have claimed.

In recent years, the Red Cross’ fundraising expenses alone have been as high as 26 cents of every donated dollar, nearly three times the nine cents in overhead claimed by McGovern. In the past five years, fundraising expenses have averaged 17 cents per donated dollar.

But even that understates matters. Once donated dollars are in Red Cross hands, the charity spends additional money on “management and general” expenses, which includes things like back office accounting. That means the portion of donated dollars going to overhead is even higher.

Just how high is impossible to know because the Red Cross doesn’t break down its spending on overhead and declined ProPublica and NPR’s request to do so.

The difference between the real number and the one the Red Cross has been repeating “would be very stark,” says Daniel Borochoff of the watchdog group CharityWatch. “They don’t want to be embarrassed.”

Charities are closely scrutinized for how much they spend on overhead rather than programs that serve the public. Studies show that donors prefer to give money to organizations that spend more of their money on services. While there is a debate about the usefulness of overhead spending as a measure of performance, charities regularly celebrate having low figures.

The 17 percent the Red Cross has spent on average for fundraising expenses is below the ceilings set by nonprofit watchdogs. The Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance, for example, says that fundraising expenses should not exceed 35 percent of related contributions.

McGovern, a former Harvard Business School marketing professor, has faced criticism within the Red Cross for a focus on branding over delivery of services. ProPublica and NPR recently reported that Red Cross officials on the ground after Superstorm Sandy saw disaster relief resources diverted for public relations purposes. The charity has also been facing deficits and layoffs. As a result, McGovern has been pushing to increase the Red Cross’ annual fundraising.

The incorrect 91-cent figure has been used by McGovern in at least four speeches and written statements since last year, and other Red Cross officials have used it repeatedly to potential donors around the country.

After being contacted by ProPublica and NPR, the charity changed the wording on its website to another formulation it frequently uses: that 91 cents of every dollar the charity “spends” goes to humanitarian services.

But that too is misleading to donors.

By Kit Daniels | Infowars

Obama’s executive amnesty paves way to EU-Style “North American Union”

The Council on Foreign Relations, a “global governance” think tank with extreme influence over U.S. policy, is applauding President Obama for granting himself lawmaking power in defiance of “an obstreperous Congress.”

An article published today on CFR.org said Obama “did the right thing” by running around Congress to enact amnesty for illegals despite “accusations of an imperial presidency,” and encouraged him to sign more executive orders on “climate change.”

Globalists Applaud Obama’s Amnesty, War on Constitution

“Based on what we’ve seen in just one month, my bet is on a lot more to come,” CFR insider Julia E. Sweig wrote. “On immigration, the president defied an obstreperous Congress and used his executive powers to give as many as five million people legal status in the United States…”

“The political calculus is clear enough—most of those who will acquire legal status are likely over time to vote for Democrats, unless the Republican Party can reinvent itself as more inclusive and representative.”

“The accusations of imperial presidency notwithstanding, Obama did the right thing on this one,” she added.

But CFR’s Edward Alden criticized Obama’s executive action for not granting amnesty to every illegal in the U.S.

“Of the eleven and a half million unauthorized immigrants estimated to be living in the United States, only half will be allowed to remain permanently,” he complained. “The executive action fails to address the long waits for green cards that face many undocumented migrants, and the restrictive quotas for highly-skilled immigrants.”

The CFR, which can be best described as a “shadow government” due to its extensive “invitation only” membership of U.S. and world leaders, has long advocated a “North American Union” designed by the Trilateral Commission which would combine the U.S., Mexico and Canada into a political entity at the expense of both U.S. national sovereignty and individual rights.

“We are asking the leaders of the United States, Mexico, and Canada to be bold and adopt a vision of the future that is bigger than, and beyond, the immediate problems of the present,” CFR member and former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister John P. Manley wrote. “They could be the architects of a new community of North America, not mere custodians of the status quo.”

An EU-style North American Union would be easier to implement if the U.S. lacks effective borders, which Obama has ensured through his executive amnesty, and if any resistance from Congress is neutered, which Obama has also done by usurping its lawmaking power through executive orders.

US Arms Still Flowing to Thailand Despite Recent Coup

US Arms Still Flowing to Thailand Despite Recent Coup

US Arms Still Flowing to Thailand Despite Recent Coup

By Paul Gottinger and Ken Klippenstein | Truthout

In the six months since Thailand’s military coup, the United States has exported tens of millions of dollars’ worth of military equipment to the unelected government there. This finding is based on a new analysis of US Census Bureau export data conducted by Truthout.

The records, which run through September, show that since the May 22, 2014, coup, the United States has delivered $11 million in parts for military aircraft, more than $1 million in parts for guided missiles and three UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters worth more than $40 million.

The Thai military government, which calls itself the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), has mandated widespread censorship on television, radio, in print and in social media. It has also outlawed criticism of the military authorities, as well as gatherings of more than five people.

US Arms Still Flowing to Thailand Despite Recent Coup

The NCPO has also detained more than 300 politicians, activists, journalists and demonstrators since the coup. Many are being held incommunicado at military black sites, and some are alleging torture.

In August, the leader of the military, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, was appointed the country’s prime minister by a legislative body that he himself handpicked. General Prayuth has suggested that democratic elections may not occur until 2016.

The US arms deliveries have continued despite the Thai military’s history of violent repression. In 2010, the Thai military opened fire during a crackdown on opposition protesters calling for new elections. Both Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch criticized the military’s actions, which killed scores and left hundreds injured.

“We don’t want weapons shipped that can be used against protesters,” Brad Adams, the executive director of Human Rights Watch’s Asia division, told Truthout.

However, the United States has continued to deliver arms to the Thai government. In the month immediately after the military seized power, the US government exported more than $1 million in parts and accessories for military rifles and has continued to export hundreds of military rifles and shotguns since the May coup.

When Truthout asked about the continued delivery of US arms to Thailand, a government spokesperson replied in an email: “The United States reviews all requests for security assistance on a case-by-case basis, taking into account political, military, economic, arms control, and human rights conditions in making decisions on the provision of military equipment and the licensing of direct commercial sales to any country.”

Despite the State Department’s reassurances, the US weapons deliveries to Thailand may be illegal under US law, according to Brittany Benowitz, an attorney and former congressional staff member with expertise in US security assistance.

“All of these transfers are arguably inconsistent with the new arms trade directive, which discourages transfers that would identify the United States with human rights abuses,” Benowitz told Truthout.

The weapons transfers may also run contrary to provisions of the Foreign Assistance Act, and would be prohibited under federal law if any of the arms sales were financed in part with US funds, Benowitz said.

Regardless of whether the arms deliveries conform to the letter of current US law, observers believe US weapons sales, which are not barred in the Foreign Assistance Act, should end after a military coup.

“The United States should not be arming, training or engaging in military exercises with the Thai armed forces as long as the country is under military rule. This cutoff should include arms sales as well as military aid,” said William Hartung, director of the Arms and Security Project at the Center for International Policy.

“To let sales go through while the military regime is still in power represents a tacit endorsement of military rule, and is unacceptable,” Hartung told Truthout.

The Malaysian Insider headlined November 26th, “Why is Malaysia not part of MH17 investigation, asks group”; and, two days later, Ulson Gunnar at New Eastern Outlook and Global Research bannered, “MH17: Malaysia’s Barring from Investigation Reeks of Cover-up.”

This was the Malaysians’ plane, and many of the victims also were Malaysian; yet, the West refuses to let the Malaysians into investigating, or even participating in the official ‘investigation’ of, this ‘disaster.’

Finally, all-too-well-mannered Malaysians are starting to cry-foul about this fishy Western dish that’s apparently in the process of being cooked up, for them, and for all of the other victims of this ‘tragedy,’ or (more likely) mega-crime (that’s being so obviously covered-up and lied-about).

Germany’s DW Reports ISIS Supply Lines Originate in NATO’s Turkey

Tony Cartalucci | Activist Post

Germany’s international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) published a video report of immense implications – possibly the first national broadcaster in the West to admit that the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS) is supplied not by “black market oil” or “hostage ransoms” but billions of dollars worth of supplies carried into Syria across NATO member Turkey’s borders via hundreds of trucks a day.

The report titled, “‘IS’ supply channels through Turkey,” confirms what has been reported by geopolitical analysts since at least as early as 2011 – that NATO member Turkey has allowed a torrent in supplies, fighters, and weapons to cross its borders unopposed to resupply ISIS positions inside of Syria.

In one surreal scene from the DW report, anti-Syria terrorists are seen walking across the border and literally shot dead just on the other side by Kurdish fighters.

Local residents and merchants interviewed by Germany’s DW admitted that commerce with Syria benefiting them had ended since the conflict began and that the supplies trucks carry as they stream across the border originates from “western Turkey.” The DW report does not elaborate on what “western Turkey” means, but it most likely refers to Ankara, various ports used by NATO, and of course NATO’s Incirlik Air Base.

While DW’s report claims no one knows who is arranging the shipments, it does reveal that the very torrent of trucks its film crew documented was officially denied by the Turkish government in Ankara. It is a certainty that Turkey is not only aware of this, but directly complicit, as is NATO who has feigned a desire to defeat ISIS but has failed to expose and uproot ISIS’ multinational sponsorship and more importantly, has refused to cut its supply lines – an elementary prerequisite of any military strategy.

ISIS Menace Was NATO All Along

Reports ISIS Supply Lines Originate in NATO's Turkey

Even by looking at the Western media’s maps of ISIS’ territorial holdings it is obvious it is not a militant force springing up in Syria or Iraq but rather an invasion force originating from NATO territory.

ISIS supply lines leading from NATO territory should be of no surprise.

As reported since as early as 2007, the US and its regional accomplices conspired to use Al Qaeda and other armed extremists in a bid to reorder North Africa and the Middle East. It would be Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh in his article, “The Redirection: Is the Administration’s new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?” that explicitly stated (emphasis added):

To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has cooperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda.

Of course, these “extremist groups” who “espouse a militant vision of Islam” and are “sympathetic to Al Qaeda,” describe the “Islamic State” verbatim. ISIS constitutes NATO’s mercenary expeditionary force, ravaging its enemies by proxy from Libya in North Africa to Lebanon and Syria in the Levant, to Iraq and even to the borders of Iran. Its seemingly inexhaustible supply of weapons, cash, and fighters can only be explained by multinational state sponsorship and safe havens provided by NATO ISIS’ enemies – primarily Syria, Hezbollah, Iran, and Iraq – cannot strike. DW’s report specifically notes how ISIS terrorists regularly flee certain demise in Syria by seeking safe haven in Turkey.

One of NATO’s primary goals since as early as 2012, was to use various pretexts to expand such safe havens, or “buffer zones,” into Syrian territory itself, protected by NATO military forces from which “rebels” could operate. Had they succeeded, DW camera crews would probably be filming convoys staging in cities like Idlib and Aleppo instead of along Turkey’s border with Syria.

With the documented conspiracy of the US and its allies to create a sectarian mercenary force aligned to Al Qaeda, the so-called “moderate rebels” the US has openly backed in Syria now fully revealed as sectarian extremists, and now with DW documenting a torrent of supplies originating in Turkey, it is clear that the ISIS menace NATO poses as the solution to, was in fact NATO all along. What is  revealed is a foreign policy so staggeringly insidious, few are able to believe it, even with international broadcasters like DW showing ISIS’ supply lines leading from NATO territory itself.
